St. Supery Vineyards and Winery

St. Supery is owned by the Skalli family of France which has made wine for generations in the South of France. While traveling in Napa during the 1970’s, Robert Skalli was inspired to create an estate winery in Napa Valley to make wines of distinct and respectable character. Dollarhide, an historic cattle and horse ranch nestled among the hills of Napa Valley was planted with the noble grape varieties of Bordeaux, France in the early 1980’s. St. Supery’s Rutherford property became the home of the winery and first class cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. The wines:

Sauvignon Blanc - this show stopper has bright intense aromas of lime juice, ruby grapefruit, guava and a hint of clover; exquisite flavors of focused lemon, lime and grapefruit follow with a crisp finish.

Virtu - this white meritage is refined and luscious with the aromas of nectarines, peach and ripe cantaloupe. On the palate, mouthwatering flavors of peaches and nectarines are joined by a subtle mineral quality. This is a unique bottle of wine to be enjoyed now and in the future.

Cabernet Sauvignon - luxurious, rich and concentrated with aromas of cherry, currant and blueberry, these are just the start of this cabernet sauvignon. The harmonious flavors of black cherry, anise and plush cassis explode upon tasting. This is a classis Napa Valley cabernet which is wonderfully young but has everything it needs to age beautifully.

Elu - this red meritage has aromas of rich vibrant, focused sweet cherry and blackberry fruit. On the palate is a wealth of flavors and an elegant, silky mouth-feel. This wine is complex and firmly-structured, while supple and polished, with a lingering finish of rope berries and notes of vanilla toast.

Dollarhide Cabernet - This limited edition cabernet sauvignon combines richness and concentration with an incredible sense of elegance and finesse. Layers of blackberries, anise and cassis with a touch of toasty mocha create a wonderful aroma. Copiously flavored with black currant, truffle, black raspberry with espresso, this wine becomes more complex as it slowly opens up. The finish is firm with ripe, round tannins that accentuate a concentrated core of fruit. It is on a par with the very finest Bordeaux and Napa cabernets.
